Gaylene Street

Operations Support

Gaylene moved from Auckland to Tauranga in April 2016 with her husband Wayne whose family roots are in the Bay of Plenty and is enjoying the lifestyle this region gives her.

Gaylene has a circular story to tell in regards to her engagement with Volbop. She joined Volunteering Bay of Plenty (VolBop) in May 2017, firstly as a Volunteer, and since then took on other roles including Events & Marketing Coordinator, Regional Coordinator, Client Manager for Otanewainuku Kiwi Trust and most recently, Operations Manager.

Four years later, mid June 2021, the pull to see her family across the ditch a lot more has been even stronger as a result of Covid-19. Gaylene now has many roles to juggle and yet, she still makes herself available to serve as a Volbop Volunteer.

Gaylene previously worked for Auckland Council in Property Management and Health & Safety and has extensive experience in Customer Service & Service delivery. She holds a National Certificate in Business (First Line Management) (Level 4) and a Certificate in Accounting Administration & Payroll. She has also gained a certificate in the Essentials of Volunteer Management and Psychological First Aid.
